MIT-JOINT-FINDER
IDENTIFY AND MARK CORRECT CENTERLINES FOR DOWEL BAR JOINTS
The MIT-JOINT-FINDER is used for the non-destructive determination and marking of the correct joint-cutting position across a row of dowels and is the first measuring device of its kind.
In practice, markings that are already in place before the dowels are set are often used to mark the joint cut. This will likely lead to incorrect joint cut markings. The MIT-JOINT-FINDER can accurately identify and mark the correct position based on the center of the dowels. This ensures a precise joint cut.
The MIT-JOINT-FINDER operates on the basis of the proven pulse induction method. The location of the dowel or tie bar is detected via electromagnetic signals as the device passes over it, and the center of the bar is calculated. The device is then guided back over the detected dowel.
A color mark is automatically and precisely placed directly over the center of the dowel. This occurs regardless of the geometry of the metal dowel, which may be installed either individuelly or in a basket.
The user repeats this process on the other side of the construction section and can then connect the points with a line, which can be used to execute a correct joint cut.
This measurement is simple and intuitive and leads to a significant increase in process reliability and in quality.
