PQI 380+
NON-NUCLEAR DENSITY MEASUREMENT IN ASPHALT SURFACES
The PQI 380+ was developed by the US company TransTech Systems, Inc. for the non-destructive measurement of density in asphalt road construction and is the successor to the proven PQI 380, which has been used successfully worldwide for more than 30 years.
This robust handheld device is characterised by its ease of use and suitability for use on construction sites.
The device is placed on the road surface and the measurement is started. Within 3 seconds, the user receives the result, i.e. a display of the density, the persentage of compaction and the surface temperature of the asphalt.
No special licences or safety precautions are required for operation.
Operating the PQI 380+ is simple and requires no specific prior knowledge. The user clears the measurement site of loose material and chooses between single reading, average reading or continuous reading. A single reading provides the result within 3 seconds. The measurement depth ranges from 2 cm to 15 cm.
